Summary Orenburg oil and gas condensate field has been operating since 1974 and at the current stage it belongs to Mature fields. From the beginning, the development of the field (the largest at that time in Europe) was complicated by the aggressiveness and toxicity of the extracted raw materials (containing hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans and helium), as well as by the heterogeneity of the Gazprom Neft has also expanded the boundaries of its key asset in the region — the eastern section of the Orenburg Oil and Gas Condensate Field,* with the company having secured the rights to an adjoining 76 square kilometres area. Raw materials, treated at the field, are transported to the Orenburg gas-processing plant. It was started up in 1974 for processing Orenburg field gas with h igh content of sulfur and condensate. Design capacity of the plant, with respect to gas processing, was 45 bcm.\year, to condensate with oil – 6,26 million tons\ year. Taking into account the Group’s share in production operations by the entities investments wherein are classified as joint operations (1.1 billion cubic meters of natural and associated gas and 7.4 million tons of oil), the overall hydrocarbon output amounted to 498.7 billion cubic meters of natural and associated gas, 15.9 million tons of gas condensate, and 48.3 million tons of oil. The gas production division of Orenburggazprom produces gas, condensate and crude oil from the Orenburgskoye oil and gas condensate field. The development of the Orenburgskoye field started in the early 1970s. In the period from 1971 to 1979 eleven gas processing facilities (GPFs) were commissioned in five construction phases on a-step-by-step basis.
The Orenburg gas field is a natural gas field located in the Orenburg Oblast, Russia. It was discovered in 1966 and developed by Gazprom. It began production in 1972 and produces natural gas and natural gas condensates. The total proven reserves of the Orenburg gas field are around 62 trillion cubic feet (1770 km 3).
